The last week of October has usually been associated with Freaky Friday’s & Halloween and just about a year ago, we were bringing our kids for ‘Trick or Treats’ dressing up them in their fav costumes for Halloween parties in malls. With the movement controls in place due to the pandemic/ outbreak, my lil girl still wants to dress up in her fav superhero costume (PJ Masks) 🦸🏻‍♀️ & I need to play the villain 🦹🏻‍♂️ 🃏

It was fun times when I took lil gurl for some trick o treating at shopping malls. Lots of kids around her age were all dressed up as well and I do think that these activities not only expose our kids to different cultures but can also strengthen the bonding between parent-child

The adults get to enjoy the Halloween parties too with lots of makan-makan and cosplays during our office functions and year-end parties

Whilst we are accustomed to the more popular Halloween, not many are aware of how this came about and also what’s Frankenstein Friday and Black Cat Day.

Today, 30 Oct 2020, is Frankenstein Friday! Celebrated each year on the last Friday of October, Frankenstein Friday pays homage to one of the greatest gothic stories of all time. In 1818, Mary Shelley wrote a novel about a young scientist named Victor Frankenstein who discovers how to give life to inanimate bodies. He creates a monster that pursues him to the ends of the earth and eventually destroys everything he holds dear.

Black cats are very much an ominous symbol of the Halloween holiday. Black cats are a dark, evil symbol of Halloween. Witches and demons are known to be able to transform into a black cat and back again. As Halloween nears, those witches and demons begin to increasingly appear, temporarily transforming at will into black cats, as needed to escape or get near a human victim.

Did You Know? Black cats are the least adopted pet can in the United States. I guess their reputation precedes them.

Well, no more parties or trick or treating this year but there’s still many ways to ‘celebrate or party along’ by watching Spooky movies marathons, cross playing virtually with friends and families for the fun of it so keep ordering those Halloween Cakes, Candies, Chocs and costumes from those running their Small Businesses to keep them operational.

Enjoy, stay safe and please don’t dress up as Corona ya 🦠😷
